Birthdays are an important event for everybody, especially if it is the birthday of toddlers. Every parent likes to celebrate toddler birthdays and would want to make it a memorable event. The kids will remember it for a long time if the birthday celebrations are interspersed with a lot of fun and frolic. Let us consider how we can organize a birthday bash that would linger for a long time in the minds of the kids.
First of all, you need to have an age appropriate fun theme for the bash. It could be a costume party, amusement park theme complete with a clown, sci-fi or a farm house theme. For one year olds, clowns, magic shows or puppetry are very enjoyable. An amusement park theme or a costume party will be more suitable for two year olds. These along with cotton candy, finger foods and balloons will keep them happy and engaged.
Toddler birthdays usually center round kids’ enjoyment, even though adults are present. Hence, invite as many of your toddler’s friends and other kids of the same age as possible so that they mingle and make good friends. Parents too can interact with each other which would develop into cooperation such as swapping babysitting time in future.
Large of number participants in the toddler birthdays are kids, and therefore there should be a lot of finger foods for them to eat. They have small stomachs and thence eat very less. Hence, they need to be served small portions of food at a time. It would be better if you could arrange separate menu for kids and adults. If there is a lot of left over food after the party, you can share the food with other parents who can take it home with them. Some kids don’t eat much at the party, and may want some food on their way home.
Finally, make sure that the whole arrangement is oriented towards your kid’s comfort and enjoyment. And also, keep the safety of the guests and the kids in mind.
