Although almost all toddlers suffer from some sort of diaper rash at one time or another, its frequency and severity could be reduced by using a skin-friendly and properly fitting diaper. All brands of diapers may look the same but vary in quality and suitability to your kid’s skin.
You have to look for a brand that fit properly and suitable to you kid’s sensitive skin. Some babies have more sensitive skin than others. Hence, change the brands every now and then to find out the most appropriate diaper for your baby.
If you can’t find a diaper suitable to your kid’s sensitive skin after a lot of trial, then you have to switch to other methods. Before that make sure the kid’s skin develops rashes even after removing the diaper immediately after getting wet. In such cases you probably need cloth diapers.
Some diapers produce rashes if these are ill fitting or too tight. Only some particular brands might suit your baby’s specific body shape. These diapers do not cause leaks even once. If the diapers are not leak-proof it means that you need to look for another brand.
Tight diapers cause red rashes around the waist and the thighs, and loose diapers cause leaks. Hence, look for a brand that is not too tight and at the same time does not cause any leaks. It is also seen that the same size diapers of different brands fit differently. Hence, continue to experiment with different brands until you unearth a brand that is best suitable for your kid.
