Better Clothes for Toddlers

When buying clothes for toddlers, parents need to keep in mind that the clothes they buy now will become unsuitable with in a few months’ time because toddlers grow very rapidly and as a result the clothes become smaller. Hence, too many new clothes will simply make you spend money without much long term benefits. And if these clothes are very costly, then it is truly a waste of money.

Instead of buying too many new and costly clothes, parents should limit this shopping to the basic necessities and settle for second hand clothes from shops or used clothes of other older toddlers in your family or relatives. In this way you can collect a big supply of toddler clothes without much expenditure. These clothes could be used for rough use in and around the house and the new clothes for formal occasions.

The above arrangement will give you a good start until the new season arrives. Usually the best time for seasonal shopping is towards the end of the season, when shops begin their off-season sales. You can then select some good varieties, but make sure that these are one or two sizes bigger for use when the said season begins in the following year. Clothes for summer, winter and the rainy seasons can be bought at bargain rates in this manner.

Among the toddler clothes, pants suffer the most damage due to crawling, wetting and squatting. To make the pants more durable, buy them one size bigger and roll the bottom parts up to the knee. However, this may fit well only for toddlers who are not too thin.
